I came online this afternoon to check the news after staying up all night, last night, Sat. night/Sunday morning, Feb. 1 and 2, listening to, among other thngs, Rachel Maddow, first, on the Trump adminstratiin's threat yesterday to mass-fire (or take personnel action against) all FBI employees who in any way participated in the cases of the 1600(?) Jan. 6th rioters. The Trump administration asked the FBI for a list of all those employees.
And second, I also listened to Maddow saying that yesterday, Elon Musk bullied the three top people at the department that distributes all of the nation's spending, until the head of those top three quit yesterday. I forget the name of the department.
The first thing I found in email was your piece, using the word "coup." That's exactly what it sounded like is happening. I now need to go check the news to see if a coup has indeed happened while I slept today. What I'm trying to say is your piece seems prescient.

Agree about women! I thought she could have gone into that much more - and maybe she does, in her book, which I'll be reading on my upcoming road trip.
