Infuriating. Anyone making dismissive comments like this have clearly never known the terror of DIY abortion. And like every young teen girl incest victim has access to herbs ffs.

And if "abortion tea" doesn't work and you need a D&C, you'll be left to die. But MM won't come across those cases in her "research."

MM may as well trot out the line about "abortion was given to the states teehee" like all the other blithering idiots.

The list of former Democratic women who are voting for Trump keeps getting longer by the day. Whatever happens, the fact that this election is so so close and so many women in this country are saying "I am not with her" should make the Democrats be asking why. Instead they repeat the same worn out rhetoric about their rival. Maybe if they listened to women for once they would understand that it's a little odd for a party to push the idea of “first woman president" when they can't even define what a woman is? Maybe start there instead of blaming Trump for everything and refusing to see how your party is harming women.🙄

The list really does not get longer every day. Your impression is likely related to your own circle & an unrepresentative group of trans myopic feminists on social media. Remember that it was women who were credited with preventing the “red wave” that many had predicted in the midterms, after the overturning of Roe V Wade.

If anything, the list of Republicans supporting Harris grows longer every day.

There is no evidence whatsoever of that. The fact is there are hordes of GOP women (and men) who are crossing over to vote Democratic over the abortion issue and over concerns about democracy. My advice to you is to quit reading "gender critical" nonsense from the likes of Kara Dansky, Kellie-Jay Keen, Meghan Murphy and the rest of them because they just don't have their heads in reality about U.S. politics. The far right is SERIOUS about taking ALL of women's rights away. They want to force ALL women back into the home, married to men, and they are willing to do anything to that end.

Post election results are proof that my comment is correct. Do I think the Dems will learn their lesson? Hell no!

Yeah, I have been following her work for the maybe 5-ish years via Facebook posts of one of her podcasts.

In the past years I have been a paid subscriber to her Substack, and watched her Wednesday night YouTube thing, so I have been watching the devolution, seeing her interview/present more right wing types going on about as you wrote, 'crime that has “run rampant,”'. I live in NYC and everything I hear form her and her right wing and libertarian buddies about how terrible NYC is really annoys me. I've lived here in Manhattan for 40 years, I ride subway all the time and still work at age 73. NYC is very nice right now, basically the same last it has been for the past 20 years.

I was rather shocked when Israel started bombing Gaza last year and MM stated somewhere that she didn't know what zionism was yet felt entitled to talk, from that historic ignorance, about the current genocide.

Anyway, the year paid on her substack is not going to be renewed and I knew that before I read your piece here just now.

I have come to the concluding that MM is just either not very bright, lazy, not a reader, or just follow that thinking of the last person she talked to, sort of like what they say about Donnie T.

Meanwhile. I'm in NYS as I said. If I vote tomorrow it will mostly be about some local things. I haven't voted for a dem for president since the disappointing 1st term of BlowJob Billy, Epstein buddy along with Trump.

I can't vote for giving Netanyahu more support on the settler colonial thing over there and since both Trump and Harris are all about the military machine that the USA has become I will write in Stein as a pathetic protest for probably the last time I will be alive to vote for a president.

For those who that that is a bad thing: If Harris can't carry NYS without me, she is going to lose anyway.

I quit reading/listening to her and the almost all of the rest of the "gender critical" crowd because most of them are from countries outside the U.S., and their ignorance about US politics just made them irrelevant and even damaging to women here. Ditto for sites like Ovarit, which are absolutely infuriating because of misplaced priorities and too much emphasis on UK-based articles which mean nothing here in the U.S. I also refuse to ever support fake feminist outfits like WoLF and WDI USA because they are willing to make deals with the devil--and the far right IS the devil--over issues that really don't mean much for women's rights overall but at the same time are being used by said right as useful idiots as a way to discredit feminists and the political left. The right doesn't care about Title IX--they want to get rid of it and the US Department of Education which oversees Title IX. They don't care and literally want women out of the public sphere entirely. Women are dying in the US for because of lack of access to abortion and health care, but here women are still talking about "gender identity" as if it even means squat in comparison. It is so infuriating, and I have followed U.S. politics and been involved in it for some 55 years.

Meanwhile Corrie Cohn (@Heterodorx) is on Twitter opining that if Harris is elected, "Title IX" is as good as dead. Cohn doesn't actually give a shit about women or women's rights, but clearly revels in his identity as "heterodox."

Great stuff, well-argued and thoroughly researched. I'm so pleased to discover more and more left/liberal gender critical feminists on Twitter and Substack. Re: Murphy, as well as Corinna Cohn, Maia Poet the fake detransitioner, Ben Appel and others, I think it's quite possible they are funded by, or are seeking to be funded by, right-wing sources (including possibly Musk). It's all so clearly a grift. At a minimum, the right-wing turn to Trump is likely an effort to create "engagement" on Twitter, and to earn some dough from clicks and re-posts. I have no evidence for any of this, but I'm suspicious because their rationales for supporting Trump, as your post makes so very clear, are demonstrably, laughably false.

Wow! This didn’t age well!

Pretty sure someone who survived Canada is far more qualified to speak on the issues the current administration brought upon us than a privileged, white U.S. suburbanite. Oh, and wasn’t it E Jean Carroll who said in an interview with Anderson Cooper that most people think rape is sexy? But, hey, you progressives and the DNC go right on condemning half of the citizenry. Conservatives will do the heavy lifting of making America great again! Stay irrelevant! Cheers!

It's so painful to know the truth about this world, that men hate us and indeed most women hate each other and themselves, too. I suspect these women that turn away from radical feminism like MM, Terri Strange, and others to end up promoting male values just could not take it any longer and had to disassociate psychologically.
